In its latest War Table stream, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal announced that Marvel’s Avengers would be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 18th. Its launch coincides with the release of Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect, which sees Clint Barton added to the game. In the meantime, check out how the current-gen version will look in the story trailer below.
Marvel’s Avengers will see enhanced visuals and an improved frame rate on the newer consoles. While the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will run at up to 4K resolution, the Xbox Series S will run at 1440p resolution. Other features include high-resolution models and textures, farther draw distance, and better armor destruction.
Cross-gen platform play will also be supported allowing PS4 and PS5 players to play together while those on Xbox One can matchmake with Xbox Series X/S players. Cross-gen saves are also supported along with the PS5 DualSense’s haptic feedback. Best of all, current owners can upgrade to the newer console versions for free.
Stay tuned for more details on Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect. Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PS4, PC, Stadia and Xbox One.
