Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC Sales Cross 1.5 Million, The Last of Us Part 1 Sells 368,000

Insomniac's remaster generated $52 million in revenue, while Naughty Dog's remake earned $15.5 million since releasing on PC.

Sony’s 2023 Business Segment Meeting revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered sold over 1.5 million units since its release in August 2022. It generated $52 million in revenue at the end of fiscal year 22-23.

The Last of Us Part 1, released on PC this past March, sold 368,000 units. Its revenue is $15.5 million as of April 23rd. The highly anticipated port of the remake faced significant backlash due to several performance issues, crashes, bugs and more. Naughty Dog has since released patches, and it’s in a far better state.

Even with PC game revenues growing year-over-year, PlayStation Studios is still committed to releasing exclusives on PS5 first. SIE president Jim Ryan said the release of PC versions two or three years later was “acceptable” per fans, though some – like upcoming first-party live-service titles – will launch simultaneously for both.

Said live-service titles could be revealed at the PlayStation Showcase on May 24th, 1 PM PDT. Stay tuned for more details.
