With Grand Theft Auto 6 delayed to the Fall 2026 window, it’s more than likely that other big-name publishers will internally shift release dates to avoid it. However, one developer is seemingly sticking to its guns: Insomniac Games, which reaffirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine would launch in the same window for PS5.
Closer observation of its Twitter feed reveals this to be the latest in a series of tweets revealing that wishlists are now available for the action-adventure. Then again, it explicitly reiterates the release window in its text. If that isn’t silently drawing a line in the sand, however small, we don’t know what is.
Of course, given how lucrative the Fall/Christmas window is for game releases, you’ll still likely see other big-name releases. Just expect them to crowd around September and October since Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19th, 2026, and will likely remain a hot topic for the remainder of the year. Except for Devolver Digital, since it’s seemingly obsessed with releasing a game on the same date.
