With San Diego Comic-Con in full swing, Insomniac Games has debuted a new story trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine. It’s a montage of different moments from the game, starting with Logan calming his Berserker state near Jean, as he recognizes her.
From there, we flit between encounters against villains like Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike and even Sabretooth, though he also helps to tear apart an unfortunate Reaver. The broader narrative is about Wolverine helping out his former allies to protect Mutants from Trask, who’s kidnapping them en masse for some unknown purpose.
Does that involve the massive Sentinel who Logan faces down at one point? Probably, but even Jean Grey can only do so much. She’s seemingly shown losing control, looking more like the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. Speaking of which, Logan and Jean infiltrate a party at one point, where he dons a Nick Fury-esque eyepatch.
There’s a lot to unpack in this trailer, and it only makes the wait for Marvel’s Wolverine, out on September 15th for PS5, that much longer.
