Huey Trapped Strangelove in Mammal Pod, Killing Her
If Huey tried to use his son as a pilot to test Sahelanthropus, then what stopped him? As it turns out, it was Dr. Strangelove, a research scientist who created the Mammal Pod AI and Huey’s wife. Strangelove was against Huey using Hal in his experiments, resulting in a falling out between the two. She then took it upon herself to send Hal to America, thus ensuring his safety and keeping him away from his father’s disgusting practices.
It was later discovered that Strangelove had resigned from Mother Base a week prior to the attack in Ground Zeroes. However, in retaliation for not keeping Hal away from him, Huey locked Strangelove inside of the Mammal Pod AI, suffocating and killing her. The machine itself had recorded her last moments and was used at Huey’s trial (where he claimed she had committed suicide in a truly spectacular display of douche-baggery) as evidence against him.
Trying to use your son for experiments, betraying your comrades, killing your wife, aligning with the enemy and just being an all-around tool…is there any reason to like Huey Emmerich?
