If anyone has the latest gaming scoops on all things Japanese, it’s Famitsu and once again, for their next issue, they’re teasing “something surprising” for one of the more talked about franchises this year: Metal Gear Solid. Its teaser page hinted at as much regarding Konami and Kojima Production’s IP and though the magazine will go on sale next Thursday, December 20th, we’ll get to know of more information on Tuesday, December 18th.

Either way, the wait begins again.

Metal Gear Solid has been making it’s fair of waves, with Ground Zeroes being unveiled at the 25th Anniversary event for Metal Gear and the recent Phantom Pain trailer showcased at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards. Many fans have reported finding several hints to Metal Gear Solid within the new trailer, and the rumour rags are running dry with news of what it might actually be.

Check out the trailer for Phantom Pain below.
