Microsoft Flight Simulator is already confirmed to receive an update for January 2021 that adds a more accurate representation of the United Kingdom. Before that, however, VR support will finally be coming to the title this month. It goes live on December 23rd.
Revealed in a recent developer Q&A on Twitch, Microsoft and Asobo noted that the update would be free and encompass all VR headsets. Executive producer Martial Bossard said that, “It will be open to all devices. Oculus family, Valve family – every family of headset is going to be supported.” The regular gameplay as well as the menus can be experienced in VR so you can expect a seamless experience.
