We’re coming up on what’s going to be a busy period for Microsoft, as far as reveals and events related to the incoming Xbox Series X are concerned. May 7 will bring a new Inside Xbox episode, which will include new game reveals (rumoured to be mostly third party stuff). Recently, Geoff Keighley announced the four month-long Summer Game Fest, also confirming that the upcoming Inside Xbox is part of that event- and it seems Microsoft’s participation is going to continue even after that.

Answering questions on an AMA on Reddit, Keighley confirmed that the upcoming Inside Xbox is just the first of many Xbox events Microsoft have planned for the Summer Game Fest. Though he obviously didn’t elaborate on that in any details, he did say it’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing a lot more from them in the coming four months.

“Yep, Inside Xbox is one of the events,” Keighley wrote. “Xbox will be sharing more next week on their overall plans, but it’s safe to say they have multiple events planned inside Summer Game Fest.”

This is particularly interesting, because recent rumours have indicated that Microsoft will also have a digital event focused on the Xbox Series X in June, which will supposedly focus on new reveals from first party studios. When E3 was cancelled, Microsoft themselves also stated that they’d have a replacement digital event, so it seems like a pretty good bet that that’s going to be part of the Summer Game Fest.
