Marvel has a number of superhero games in development, from Marvel’s Midnight Suns by Firaxis and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games to Second Dinner Studios’ Marvel Snap and Amy Hennig’s untitled Marvel project. It seems that Electronic Arts is joining the fray as well, according to a rumor heard by XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker.

In the recent XboxEra Podcast, Baker talked about a new source and how they revealed that EA was making a new Marvel game. Though they mentioned what IP it would be related to, Baker refrained from revealing any clues. How far into development it is, who’s developing it and so on is all unknown at this point.

Given that DICE is busy with Battlefield, BioWare with Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and Mass Effect, and Respawn with Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Motive Studios was theorized as the potential developer. It’s working on the Dead Space remake which is out on January 27th, 2023. Perhaps this new Marvel title could be their next project. Time will tell so stay tuned in the coming months.
