NieR Reincarnation

Square Enix might not have graced us with a sequel to NieR: Automata in its recent 10th anniversary stream for the franchise. However, it did announce a brand new NieR game that’s coming to iOS and Android. It’s called NieR Re[in]carnation and developed by Applibot, a mobile game developer known for Legend of the Cryptids.

There’s a teaser trailer that’s also available – check it out below. The young girl from the trailer bears a resemblance to 2B and A2 from NieR: Automata. She also has a floating companion, conveniently covered up so you can’t tell if it’s a Pod or Grimoire Weiss from Nier Replicant/Gestalt. Of course, the title “reincarnation” can be interpreted in a number of ways as well.

According to a translation of its official website, NieR Re[in]carnation will be a role-playing game that’s free to play (with microtransactions apparently included for items). Stay tuned for more details on its release. A “version up” for NieR Replicant was also announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
