Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler 2 has received positive reviews from critics ahead of its release later this week. As such, the publisher released a new overview trailer, quickly outlining everything new and returning fans need to know. Check it out below.

Despite being a sequel, Octopath Traveler 2 features eight new characters with unique stories and Path Actions. You can steal from NPCs, indulge in commerce, put them to sleep and much more. During battles, each protagonist has a secondary Job that provides different skills in addition to their primary Job. Learning Job skills unlocks support skills that automatically trigger in battle. Of course, the gorgeous HD-2D art style from the first game is intact and looks better than ever.

Octopath Traveler 2 is out on February 24th for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. A free Prologue demo is available, with all eight characters playable for three hours. Save data transfers over to the full game as well, allowing one to continue their journey. Head here for more extensive gameplay.
