Project Octopath Traveler

Square Enix’s upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive JRPG Octopath Traveler looks to be one of the most exciting and intriguing products from the company in a while. The game is a turn based JRPG in classic 16-bit RPG style, with a gorgeous art style, nuanced battle system, and a job system in the vein of old school Final Fantasy games, and eight characters to espouse the virtues of each job (hence the name!).

Today, a brand new trailer for the game was released that reveals two of those eight characters- Ophilia and Cyrus, who are a cleric and a scholar respectively. Their unique abilities makes them alluring propositions for players who might want a non traditional flavor to their traditional RPGs.

You can check out this trailer for yourself below and see what you think. Octopath Traveler will be launching exclusively on the Nintendo Switch come July 13, alongside a gorgeous Collector’s Edition to boot.
