The Halloween event is nearly here.

Strange things are afoot in Overwatch. After Sombra’s appearance was leaked over the weekend, along with details about the upcoming Halloween event, the game’s Public Test Realm server went offline yesterday. This is usually a sign that a new patch will be deployed.

After leaked adverts (seen above) hinted at the upcoming event starting on October 11th and running till November 1st, PC Bang – a notice board for internet gaming rooms in Korea that is partnerered with Blizzard – announced that a new patch would be available at 3 AM KST, October 12th. This translates to 11 AM PST today and will be a 1.74 GB to download.

Could this be it? Could Sombra finally be debuting? Even if it isn’t, there’s little doubt left that Halloween event is nearly upon us and should go live later today. Expect Halloween-themed Loot Boxes as well so pray to the RNG lords that you receive that Witch Mercy skin.
