In case this month’s slate of blockbuster releases wasn’t enough, Grinding Gear Games has officially dated the PS4 release for Path of Exile. It will arrive on March 26th and also include the new Synthesis League. More information will be provided closer to launch.
Path of Exile was originally slated to release for PS4 in December alongside the Betrayal League. However, it suffered a subsequent delay to February, and later also seemed unlikely to make its mid-March release window. What the PS4 version will have in terms of cosmetics and microtransactions remains to be seen, but it’s good to see the developer finally committing to a date.
In the meantime, the Synthesis League is still ongoing for Xbox One and PS4. It sees players dealing with the mysterious Cavas and gathering Memory Fragments to explore his dark past. This is done through the Memory Nexus, with players piecing together different fragments to create paths towards certain memories. The Challenge League also introduces new Unique items, Divination Cards, new Skill Gems, and a complete balance pass of existing spells.
