Path of Exile Synthesis

Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile has a smattering of new content available, thanks to the launch of the Synthesis League. This Challenge League sees players interacting with Cavas, an amnesiac whose memories have been fractured. You’ll need to recover Memory Fragments and traverse across the constructs of these memories to help Cavas remember who he is.

Synthesis also brings a boatload of tweaks to all existing spells, changing Brands to be slightly less overpowered while buffing other options. More importantly, reworks to skills like Storm Burst and Flame Totem are also live. If that weren’t enough, you have tons of new skills like Bane, Divine Ire, Purifying Flame, and much more to fool around with.

Path of Exile: Synthesis will be available for a number of months like its previous Challenge Leagues. You can still find all of the previous Leagues’ content rolled into the current game, though Masters like Jun from Betrayal will be unlocked later. Stay tuned for any changes and further patches to the League in the coming weeks (along with the supposed release of the PS4 version in March).
