It’s impossible in today’s day and age for Ubisoft to make a major announcement without it getting leaked, and it’s not surprising at all that that’s happened with another one of their surprise announcements. Talk of a Prince of Persia remake began with a retailer listing about three weeks back, which was followed by more reports that the game would be announced at the Ubisoft Forward event later today. Now, we have more leaks pointing to the game’s existence… coming from Ubisoft itself.

Advertising banners and images of a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time have appeared on Ubisoft’s own Uplay, more specifically the Russian Uplay page, as spotted by a Resetera user. Meanwhile, a listing for the game also recently appeared on Amazon UK. Both these things have since been taken down, but the internet never forgets- you can look at their screencaps below.

Release date and platform information for the game will likely be revealed later today, but an industry insider has said that the November launch, as well as the fact that it would come to the Switch, that was mentioned in the game’s first retailer leak aren’t accurate details.

The Ubisoft Forward event will begin at 12 AM PDT, with the pre-show kicking off at 11 AM PDT. Stay tuned for all updates from the show.
