Project C, a new survival horror IP from Bloober Team, will no longer be published by Private Division. The Polish developer revealed that the agreement, signed in September 2021, was terminated by the latter “without giving any reason.”

Both parties are currently negotiating on the “terms of termination of cooperation,” which includes settlements. Bloober Team says it considered such a scenario and has “potential alternatives” prepared. Project C will continue development per the planned production schedule while marketing follows a self-publishing model. Of course, it’s also considering “the possibility of continuing this production based on cooperation with the new publisher.”

Announced in 2022, the survival horror title was due to receive an announcement this year. It follows Take-Two’s recent announcement to cancel projects and save costs. However, Project C isn’t the first title that Private Division has terminated a publishing agreement with, having done the same for People Can Fly’s new action-adventure IP, Project Dagger, in 2022. The latter was recently cancelled.

Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months. Bloober Team is also working on a remake of Silent Hill 2 for Konami, rumored to appear during today’s State of Play and Silent Hill Transmission. There’s also Project M, co-developed alongside Draw Distance of Serial Cleaners fame, and R with Skybound Entertainment.
