After launching on August 25th to exceptional critical praise, Psychonauts 2 is getting a fairly hefty quality of life update. Double Fine’s lead designer Seth Marinello outlines all of the different features that players can expect with a new trailer. Some spoilers follow so be warned.

One of the newer features is the Otto Shot which becomes available to purchase in-game after finishing the story. It helps to spot Figments, PSI Challenge Card and more that are close by to Raz, making it easier for completionists to mop up any remaining collectibles. Furthermore, checkmarks have been added to fast travel locations on a world’s map to indicate whether everything has been collected in a level.

Another nice change is the ability to battle all of the enemies in the game in a separate arena. On top of providing a challenge for those who hit Rank 102, it also allows for collecting any Achievements associated with different enemy types. Stay tuned for more details on when the update will go live in the coming weeks.

Psychonauts 2 is currently available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out our review here.
