Bethesda Softworks has released a new trailer for Redfall, quickly showcasing the open-world shooter’s various features. Developed by Arkane Studios of Dishonored and Prey fame, Redfall takes place in the titular town that comes under siege by vampires. It’s up to an unlikely group of survivors to defeat them.

Said characters include Remi de la Rosa, an engineer with a robot; Devinder Crousley, a cryptozoologist with traps; Layla Ellison who possesses telekinetic powers; and Jacob Boyer a sharpshooter with a vampire eye and spectral raven. One can play solo or with up to four players in co-op. You also collect loot of different rarities with each weapon having different ratings and perks.

Of course, given that this is an open-world title, there’s plenty of reason to explore. You’ll find different outfits, Grave Locks which provide some narrative for a certain character and modify one’s abilities, optional dungeons called Psychic Nests, and much more. Redfall releases in the first half of 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PC and the cloud along with Game Pass.
