Remedy Entertainment has seen significant growth in the last few years in particular, and going forward, the studio intends to significantly increase its output by having multiple major projects in development at a time, as opposed to how it’s typically approached development in the past. To go along with those expanded ambitions, the developer has now also unveiled a new logo to replace its previous one, which had been in use for over 20 years.

“The bullet in the letter R in the old logo represented the era of Max Payne, but the Remedy of now is much bigger than a single game,” Remedy Entertainment’s communications director Thomas Puha explains. “We have a whole portfolio of games, new and old. It was time to update and redefine our visual identity to bring more consistency, showcase our evolution over the years, and better express our vision of today’s Remedy.”

Remedy Entertainment currently has a number of major titles in development, with the studio hoping to release a new game every year going forward. First up is Alan Wake 2, the long-awaited sequel, which will also serve as the studio’s first ever fully-fledged survival horror game, and is due out later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Remedy is also at work on two projects in the Control universe- Condor, a co-op spinoff, and Control 2, a full-fledged single player sequel. Meanwhile, the developer has also partnered with Tencent to work on free-to-play multiplayer shooter Vanguard, and with Rockstar to develop a combined ground-up remake of Max Payne 1 and 2.
