Capcom recently pushed an update to Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7: biohazard on PC, likely preparing drop support for their DirectX 11 versions in July. However, it caused the ray-tracing options for all three titles to go missing.

After promising an update to fix this, a new patch is available on Steam, re-enabling ray tracing for Resident Evil 2/3 Remake. However, Resident Evil 7: biohazard isn’t mentioned, and there’s no word on when its ray-tracing options will return.

The whole mess actually began last year when Capcom updated the PC requirements for all three titles last year to take advantage of current-gen features. However, this resulted in support only for Windows 10 (64-bit) and DirectX 12, on top of increasing the requirements. Fans were upset by the same, causing Capcom to reintroduce the non-enhanced versions and the rest is history. Stay tuned, as always, more updates in the coming days.
