Capcom finally revealed some extensive gameplay for Resident Evil 4 remake, which launches next year. It sees Leon walking through the fog-covered woods, entering a rundown house and going into a basement full of bones. Once he picks up the communicator, a Ganado attacks.
Along with attacking, Leon can sneak behind corners and dodge them. Hannigan is showcased, but it’s not long before the Ganados break in. They have new attacks this time around, spicing up the challenge. Cut to the opening village from the original game and the battle against the Ganados. You can still kick enemies and knife them to escape.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Resident Evil 4 without Dr Salvador and his chainsaw (which can knock down structures). Fortunately, Leon can parry his attacks with the knife. The Merchant also returns, with players able to trade rare gems for money. A separate story trailer is also available, showcasing classic characters like Ada Wong, Ashley, and Luis Sera, and villains like Salazar.
Resident Evil 4 remake is out on March 24th, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Capcom has confirmed that the PS4 version can be upgraded to the PS5 digital version at no additional cost.
