Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC Should be Out Later This Year – Rumour

A known insider has said that Resident Evil 4 Remake's rumoured paid DLC won't take as long to launch as Resident Evil Village's expansion did.

Resident Evil 4 Remake launched just a couple of weeks ago, and it’s a densely packed game even in its current state, but given how well it has been received, it’s no surprise that fans are already desperate for more. And interestingly, it seems like more is indeed in the pipeline. Recently, known Capcom insider Dusk Golem claimed that the original RE4’s Ada Wong-focused mini-campaign Separate Ways was also in the works for the remake as paid DLC, while references to it have also been spotted in the game’s files by dataminers.

When might it be out though? Well, according to Dusk Golem, it won’t be as long of a gap as it was between the release of Resident Evil Village and its post-launch DLC, Winters’ Expansion. As per the insider, while Shadows of Rose and other parts of the Village DLC only entered development after the launch of the base game itself, Separate Ways has been in the works since before the launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake, and has always been part of the plan. Allegedly, the DLC should be out later this year itself, barring any “unforeseen development hurdles”.

Interestingly, that might not be the only fresh content Resident Evil 4 Remake gets in the coming months. Dusk Golem also recently claimed that The Mercenaries, which launched for the remake as free DLC earlier today, will also be getting new content in an update that will launch around the same time as Separate Ways. Meanwhile, Capcom has also previously confirmed that it’s working on PlayStation VR2-exclusive content for the game, which will also release as free DLC.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. Read our review of the game through here. Earlier today, Capcom announced that the game had sold over 4 million copies worldwide within just two weeks of release.
