Capcom is taking the wraps off of Resident Evil Village next week. It announced a Resident Evil Showcase for January 21st which will include gameplay and a new trailer. It will also offer “much more” news regarding the franchise as a whole. The showcase will premiere on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Twitter at 2 PM PT.

The latest teaser hyping the showcase is also full of new details. A new type of enemy, which can “teleport” by materializing through a collection of flies, is seen. A much larger “werewolf” is also seen wielding a giant hammer alongside the smaller ones. At one point, the back of a carriage opens up – this may belong to the new vendor teased in previous trailers.

Resident Evil Village is out later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The development team is also looking to release it for PS4 and Xbox One though couldn’t promise it would happen. Perhaps the showcase will offer some details on the much rumored remake of Resident Evil 4 or even Resident Evil Revelations 3? Stay tuned for more details in next week.
