Resident Evil Village

In a recent press release, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil Village has passed four million total shipments and digital sales worldwide. The survival horror title launched on May 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Google Stadia. It hit three million in shipments and digital sales on May 11th.

Resident Evil Village has garnered positive reviews since launch (check out our review here) and continues to top sales charts. In the UK, it debuted on top and recently retook the spot for the week ending May 22nd despite sales dropping by 61 percent. The NPD Group sales for the United States should be interesting when they eventually arrive.

Of course, there’s more Resident Evil content on the way. Capcom unveiled Resident Evil 4 for VR platforms and is rumored to have a full-on remake in development. There’s also Resident Evil Outrage, which is a follow-up to the Resident Evil Revelations series and apparently a timed exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
