Capcom’s Resident Evil Village has shipped over three million units worldwide since its launch. The action horror title released on May 7th and topped UK physical sales charts on its debut along with having the biggest launch for the series on PC. The publisher also confirmed that cumulative shipments for the series have passed 100 million units since Resident Evil’s debut in 1996 on the PS One.
Taking place directly after Resident Evil 7: biohazard, the story sees Ethan Winters traveling to a mysterious village in search of his daughter Rose. Along with battling lycans and other terrors, Ethan has to contend with the Four Lords and their leader, Mother Miranda. If that weren’t enough, Chris Redfield – who shoots Mia and kidnaps Rose to start the game off – is also seemingly involved.
