Resident Evil Village VR Mode

Capcom has announced that the VR version of Resident Evil Village will release on February 22nd, 2023, for PlayStation VR2. It will be free DLC for owners of the base game and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.

On the PlayStation Blog, the VR version is confirmed to support 4K (2000×2040 resolution per eye), HDR, and eye tracking. 3D Audio support is also available. The Sense controllers allow for motions like aiming by holding your hands out, putting your arms up to guard, holding two weapons simultaneously, slicing and stabbing with the knife, and much more. You can feel the recoil and resistance when firing weapons, not to mention the vibration from interacting with objects.

Resident Evil Village VR is exclusive to PlayStation VR2 currently, though there are rumors that it could release for PC and Oculus. The base game is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here.
