Returnal Fallen Asteria

After teasing a Returnal-related announcement for today, Housemarque has announced a graphic novel for its rogue-like third-person shooter – Returnal: Fallen Asteria. It’s out on October 22nd on bookstore shelves and October 23rd in comic shops. An animated video of the first issue is available, providing a peek at the graphical novel. Check it out below.

Returnal: Fallen Asteria spans 88 pages and is produced with Dark Horse Comics. As the animated video showcases, the first issue is about Selene’s arrival on Atropos, pursuing the mysterious White Shadow and revisiting her memories. After traversing the planet’s surface, she slowly realizes how things change with each cycle. Whether subsequent issues will be animated is unknown.

Stay tuned for more details on Returnal: Fallen Asteria in the coming months. The game is available for PS5 and PC (check out our review) and has received several updates thus far. The latest is Ascension, which added the Tower of Sisyphus and co-op support, allowing two players to tackle Atropos together.
