On a recent Rockstar Newswire, announcing some new screenshots for Grand Theft Auto V, a fan asked Rockstar Games if there was anything new going on regarding Agent. Agent is a title that was announced by Rockstar as far back as 2007, as a PlayStation 3-exclusive – at a time when popular franchises were going multi-platform.

However, Rockstar’s response is still the same, as it replied that, “Sorry, but we do not currently have any news to report on that game.”

Screenshots of the game were leaked online at some point and it was assumed that Agent would be a spy thriller with an open world twist. However, since its reveal 6 years ago, the game has seen no new details, announcements or updates. Even Final Fantasy Versus XIII has more information surrounding it, even if it’s just about the various changes in direction.

For now, the hope is that if Agent does re-emerge, it will be available for the next-generation consoles like PS4 and the next Xbox.
