As impossible as it would have seemed years ago, Konami has released not one or two but three well-received Silent Hill titles in succession. And while sales for Silent Hill: Townfall remain up in the air, producer Motoi Okamoto says the company isn’t stopping and is currently looking at a “number of projects” for the “second and third waves.”
“All three titles we initially announced were able to be released successfully, so we’re relieved. They’ve also received high praise, and we are satisfied with them,” he told Famitsu magazine (transcription via Game Observer).
Of course, Konami has made no bones about this being the “first wave” of titles. It announced all three in 2022 to show commitment and its seriousness about reviving the franchise.
“Successfully launching this ‘first wave’ comes with great relief, but we’re not stopping here; we must think of the second and third waves. We can’t share specific details, but we’re currently looking at a number of projects.” Okamoto said earlier this year that Konami wanted to release a new Silent Hill yearly, though subsequent projects have yet to be dated.
That includes Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 1 Remake, which was announced and seemingly began development last year for PS5 (though a PC version is more than likely). The studio is renowned for its work on Silent Hill 2 Remake, which launched in 2024 and reached over five million players worldwide earlier this year. It crossed 2.5 million shipments in October 2025 and became available on PlayStation Plus later that month. An Xbox Series X/S version would release in November 2025.
