Soulcalibur 6 Inferno

The cast of Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur 6 is only getting bigger, roughly two weeks away from its release. In a new character trailer, the development team at Project Soul unveiled Inferno. You might recognize him as a major antagonist in the early Soulcalibur games and the controlling force behind Nightmare. Check out his new look below.

Inferno is essentially the “embodiment” of Soul Edge’s will (the same blade that characters like Siegfried, Cervantes, and Kilik have run afoul of). His main shtick is adopting various styles to battle with. So in one round, he could be using Xianghua’s techniques, before switching to Astaroth’s devastating strength in the next round.

There isn’t much of that in the new trailer, but Inferno is still capable of darting about quickly and dealing massive damage. Bandai Namco is promising this to be the strongest and most brutal version of the burning man yet. We’ll find out for ourselves when Soulcalibur 6 launches on October 19th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
