Though we're going to have to wait another month for our first proper look at the game, this new piece of concept art should tide you over for a while.

National Space Day is celebrated on the first Friday of May every year, which was May 6 this year, and of course, as the developers of highly anticipated upcoming space faring RPG Starfield, the folks over at Bethesda were always going to mark the occasion somehow. And how did they choose to do it? With a new piece of concept art for the upcoming game. Not too exciting, but it’s something.

The concept art shows a character walking through a cave dressed in an environmental suit, with what look like flying bioluminescent insects fluttering about and a hovering robot lighting the path forward. The robot, in particular, might be of some interest- could this be our first glimpse at our second robotic companion in the game?

Starfield launches November 11 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you’ve just about had it with concept art, behind-the-scenes videos, and leaked images from an older build, you needn’t worry much longer. The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase is set for June 12, where Starfield will very likely take center stage.
