Street Fighter 5

After a successful beta stress test for Street Fighter 5 in Europe, Capcom has announced that it will be heading to North America and South America on August 25th. The first beta test will be today from 4 PM to 12 AM PST. The second beta test will be on August 26th at the same time.

Once the beta test in these two regions proves successful, a global five day beta test will occur on a later date and all those who’ve taken part will only need to update their downloaded clients.

Street Fighter 5 actually had a beta test last month on PS4 but was wrought with server troubles that prevented many players from even accessing basic training, forget matchmaking with each other. Though Capcom tried to fix these issues and extended the duration of the beta, it was eventually pulled. With the recent success of the stress tests, it will be interesting to see if the upcoming global beta goes more smoothly.
