Following up on its clips of Dee Jay and Manon, Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 has received some new gameplay showcasing Marisa and JP.
Marisa is described as an “imposing force” who approaches her opponents head-on. Her moves have some hefty knockback, but a charged Special can break through a Drive Impact. As for JP, he’s more technical, deploying voids of power called Departure. When activated, they can attack enemies with thorns or serve as a location for teleportation, easily closing the distance on enemies while keeping them guessing.
Marisa and JP are part of the launch roster, which includes 18 characters. Street Fighter 6 is out on June 2nd, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and PS4. For those who took part in the first closed beta, a second takes place from December 16th to 19th. Stay tuned for more details on gameplay and a potential open beta leading up to launch.
True to her heritage, Marisa is an imposing force who has no trouble approaching opponents. She can even break through a Drive Impact with one hit from some of her charged Special Moves.
Yes, cower in fear. She loves that. 🦁 pic.twitter.com/5OQLd9vuRN

Poised and powerful. JP can control the entire screen with ease, especially with Departure, a Special Move that places voids of power in the air. He can then activate the thorns inside or teleport at their location. 😼 pic.twitter.com/k5zxAB865Y
