The demo features the first two missions and introduces the basic gameplay and progression systems before the game's launch in May.
The footage shows off a host of things about Metal Eden, including its environments, some of the enemies the players can face, and even some weapons.
Metal Eden will have players take on the role of android protagonist Aska, as they fight off hordes of enemies across an artifricial city built by corporations.
The game has been in development at Ruiner developer Reikon Games for about two years, and will launch for PC and consoles at some point in the future.
