Take Two Interactive and Rockstar Games are gearing up for the biggest launch of the year with Grand Theft Auto V, which comes out on September 17th worldwide for PS3 and Xbox 360. However, one of the bigger mysteries is whatever happened to Agent, the PS3 exclusive which was billed as a spy-based action adventure game.

And the answer is nothing. Rockstar never really revealed the fate of the game, or whether it’s still in development though some evidence confirms it it). Regardless, Take Two Interactive recently renewed two trademarks for Agent, specifically its name and logo. Of course, the registration is still pending and it’ll take at least three months before it gets approved.

In short, the game is still alive – or more accurately, it’s still an intellectual property that exists and is owned by Take Two Interactive. What they decide to do with it and when it anybody’s guess.
