Tales From the Borderlands, an episodic adventure by Gearbox Software and Telltale Games, is available for purchase again on digital storefronts. It was originally removed when Telltale Games faced bankruptcy and subsequently shut down (before being revived again). Along with Xbox One, PS4 and PC via Steam, it’s also available on Epic Games Store and supports backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
Comprised of five episodes, Tales From the Borderlands takes place after the second game and focuses on Rhys and Fiona as they explore Pandora for a Vault Key. Eventually, characters from the main series make appearances and events go on to impact the core story. The gameplay itself is more about dialogue choices and quick-time events than, well, looting and shooting.
For more details on Tales From the Borderlands, check out our review for the complete season here. Rumors have stated that another season is in the works but nothing has been officially announced yet. Telltale Games is busy with The Wolf Among Us 2, though it currently doesn’t have a release window.
Tales from the Borderlands returns to storefronts today with all five original episodes in a single package! Available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and also playable on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility.
