Bandai Namco has a brand new trailer for Tekken 8, unveiling yet another playable character. This time, it’s Emilie De Rochefort or Lili. Chasing after her cat, Salt, ultimately brings her face to face with long-time rival Asuka. Check it out below.
Lili has no formal training in martial arts. Instead, she’s skilled in gymnastics and incorporates various pirouettes, spins and back-flips into her offense. Though overtly flamboyant, it’s very effective thanks to her reach and damage. While some attacks can be slow and side-stepped once the opponent knows her combos, Lili can still be a menace if left unchecked.
Tekken 8 is out before April 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Other revealed characters include Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Ling Xiaoyu, Jack-8, Jun Kazama, Jin Kazama, Lars Alexandersson, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, and Kazuya Mishima. Game director and series producer Katsuhiro Harada also confirmed that there would be cross-platform play and rollback netcode for online play. There’s no word yet on a beta, so stay tuned for more details.
