The Callisto Protocol - Dani

Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol has recently received a patch on all consoles. The developer revealed on Twitter that it should fix the frame rate and crash issues that players have reported.

It also promised more details on other improvements early on in the week. “We are listening, working hard on updates, and will have details to share on more upcoming improvements early this week.”

What about ray tracing on Xbox Series X, which players have reportedly faced issues with? The developer revealed that ray-traced shadows “are supported and look great” on the console. However, there are issues with ray-traced reflections that are currently being addressed. “More information is coming this week. We appreciate the patience and support.”

High dynamic range lighting (HDR) is also reportedly not working on Xbox Series X. Striking Distance hasn’t commented on the same, but stay tuned for further updates.

The Callisto Protocol is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The PC version faced an overwhelmingly negative response on Steam due to stuttering issues, which Striking Distance recently addressed in a patch. As for upcoming new content, Hardcore Mode and New Game Plus arrives on February 7th, 2023. Head here for more details.
