Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 didn’t exactly have the most thunderous of praise when it first launched. Still, it did admittedly okay in sales according to the publisher. It also recently received the Gator Rush update, bringing in some new content for players on all platforms.

If you’re curious to see the current state of the game, you’re in luck. Ubisoft has announced that The Crew 2 will be available to play for free from September 27th, 12 PM PT/3 AM ET to September 30th. This is for Uplay, so you’ll have to make an account to access it.

The free weekend allows access to all areas, vehicles, and events with progress carrying over into the full game should you purchase it. If that weren’t enough, The Crew 2 is also discounted by 45 percent on Uplay.

As for the new Gator Rush update, it offers the Live Xtreme Series race event, three new hovercrafts with some areas redesigned to facilitate them, and the new Ace difficulty mode. Ace difficulty provides bonuses and legendary loot for erstwhile veterans, so it might be worth checking out. Even more content will be out in the coming months, so stay tuned.
