Yesterday, a new patch dropped for Tom Clancy’s The Division which nerfed the base damage of the G36 by 15 percent. Players were understandably annoyed but it was later revealed that the nerfs were much more extensive – the G36 had its recoil increased along with range and accuracy reduced.

Community manager Hamish Bode noted on Twitter that, “The base damage was the only thing that changed. There were no stability changes…” before stating that he would look into things.

Unfortunately, this is a case of the developer nerfing other facets of the G36 and simply not communicating that fact to players. Bode revealed on Reddit that, “Hi everyone, just dig some investigation in the office and can confirm that this is indeed the case. The datamining is accurate and we apologize for not getting this information out to you.”

The comment currently stands at -9 votes so you can take a stab at how happy people are to hear that. Where does The Division go from here? We’ll find out in the coming weeks.
