Tom Clancy’s The Division will receive its second paid expansion tomorrow with Survival. This is a separate mode which converts the map into a PvE (or PvP) survival game where players must survive a brutal storm, fight off hunger and find medicine to halt infection. Starting with a basic pistol, players will have to find or craft new equipment, search for food and water and try to warm themselves in the storm. There are up to 23 other players in the same map so resources aren’t exactly plentiful and as you inch closer to the centre of the map to extract, enemies will increase in difficulty.
There’s also a new enemy faction called the Hunters who prowl the Dark Zone. PvP is also an option for Survival and you can fight or cooperate with other agents at any time (with a bonus score multiplier added).
Update 1.5 will also be out tomorrow to add a new World Tier, Named Gear Pieces, three new Named Weapons and 12 new weapon types. Survival is out on November 22nd for Xbox One and PC first with PS4 receiving it on December 20th.
