Rumblings about The Last of Us Part 2 have been getting increasingly more prominent over the last couple of days. Reports emerged yesterday that a trailer for the game would be coming this week, and that it would also announce a release date for the game. Now, we might know exactly when that could happen.
Spanish site Legion De Jugadores, one of the sites that reported about the game’s alleged forthcoming trailer yesterday, is reporting that Sony will be announcing a new State of Play broadcast in a matter of hours. They claim they’ve been told by sources very close to Sony that the State of Play stream – which the report claims is going to be scheduled for May 30, two days from now – will purportedly focus on The Last of Us Part 2, will reveal new gameplay information and footage, and confirm a release date in November of this year.
As always, take this with a dash of salt, but seeing as the report claims an announcement will be coming from Sony “in a matter of hours”, we should find out just how true it is very soon. If it does end up happening, it would certainly fall in line with earlier reports that Naughty Dog’s next title would be receiving an update before E3.
Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.
