Deck13 has announced another closed beta for its upcoming sci-fi Souls-like The Surge 2. It takes place on August 15th and will run till the 25th. About 1,000 players are currently being sought so head over here to sign up. To participate, a Steam account and either English or French as a spoken language is necessary.
Also, don’t count on sharing details willy-nilly. There’s a non-disclosure agreement for participants, which means not sharing any information, screenshots or footage. The real question is: Will there be an open beta for other players to try out the game before it releases? It seems unlikely, but would be pretty cool.
The Surge 2 is currently slated to release on September 24th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It still features the brutal dismemberment that players enjoyed in the previous game’s combat. However, Deck13 is further expanding on the game’s exploration by having alternate paths in Jericho City and various secrets.
