The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition has a new release window for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. It’s now planned to release in Q4 2022. Saber Interactive was previously in charge of porting the game to the newer consoles until CD Projekt RED announced another delay and shifted development in-house.
In terms of features, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players can look forward to ray tracing support and faster load times. The “range of visual and technical improvements” has yet to be expanded on but all post-launch updates, along with the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, are included. Furthermore, PC players will get support for high dynamic-range (HDR).
Despite its numerous delays (from late 2021 to Q2 2022 and now to Q4 2022), CD Projekt’s Michał Nowakowski clarified that the next-gen versions are not in development hell. Stay tuned for more details on a proper release date in the coming months. CD Projekt RED is also developing a new title in the series on Unreal Engine 5, which will be the first in a “new saga.”
Let's make this 7th anniversary even better, shall we?
