The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Trailer Goes Demon Hunting in Downwarren

Solve the mystery of the Whispering Hillock.

CD Projekt RED may not have had an explosive presence at Gamescom, especially since it has The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming out early next year, but the developer still made an impact. It released a new gameplay trailer which showcased Geralt’s quest to Downwarren to deal with the Whispering Hillock, an “ancient power” that “feeds on bloodshed”. Sounds like a wholesome family adventure.

There are tons of different things to see in the trailer such as Geralt’s ability to track the various demons and monsters roaming the woods. We also get a look at the combat which looks incredibly fluid. You can weave in and out of enemy attacks, using magic to throw your enemies off balance. What exactly is going on in Downwarren? Nothing that can be resolved in a single video.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on February 24th 2015 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on this new gameplay video? Let us know below.
