CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is many things these days but everyone can agree on its brilliance. The long-awaited open world RPG has received much critical acclaim and sales have been fairly positive thus far. However, everyone can also agree to a fairly annoying mechanic that can pop up every now and then, namely fall damage. Take one simple misstep and Geralt will suddenly find himself on the short end of life.

As it turns out, there’s a way to avoid fall damage. CD Projekt RED community coordinator Marcin Momot actually offered this advice on Twitter, stating that, “Regarding the fall damage when jumping. Press the jump button twice as you’re about to touch the ground to roll & avoid taking damage.”

You’d think we’d have guessed that by now but there it is. Execute some well-timed parkour and you’ll avoid embracing the afterlife early. What are your thoughts on this bit of advice? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more information – including when the latest patch will be dropping for Xbox One (the PS4 version is already live in Europe).
