Despite releasing in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still considered a pretty taxing game with some fantastic graphics and a vast open world. That’s what made it being announced for the Nintendo Switch so surprising. While the Switch has managed some pretty impressive downports such as DOOM, something to the size and complexity of Witcher is an entirely different beast. Well, today we got some new screenshots to take a look at the Switch version, so we can judge for itself how it’s looking.

We already knew there were going to be some major concessions for this version of the game, so the screenshots definitely look like a pretty major downgrade. Having said that, when you consider the technical gulf between the Switch and the current consoles and high-end PCs, it’s not too terrible, and if manages to run well, it probably won’t be too bad to take on the go.

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition will arrive on the Nintendo Switch some time this year- and don’t worry, it’s all on the cart. It’s also available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
