The Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 is one of the most coveted events in the gaming industry, promising high profile game announcements, exclusive reveals and the chance to salivate over titles that won’t be out till Christmas at best (and several years later at worst). Given it’s relative age, it only makes sense that E3 would have its fair share of entertaining moments. Some of these are fairly awesome while others cross over into the downright bizarre side of our industry.

Either way, plenty of fun has been had over the past few decades. Join us as we look back at the top 15 most awesome, embarrassing and bizarre moments of E3 history en route to E3 2015.

Microsoft Reveals Kinect (Starring Cirque du Soleil)

In one of the most bizarre presentations in recent E3 years, Microsoft held a special Kinect-only presentation to showcase the motion-sensing camera at E3 2010. This featured light-up ponchos for attendees, a performance by theatre group Cirque du Soleil and some of the oddest implementations of motion gaming yet.
