Final Fantasy Goes Third Party

The Xbox 360 and PS3 console war was at a fever pitch. Sony fans had been losing a number of their exclusives like Devil May Cry to Microsoft’s hot new console. Finally, at E3 2008, their worst fears were confirmed – Final Fantasy 13 would be releasing on Xbox 360 as well as PS3. This led to years of accusations against the former for leading to FFXIII’s horrible quality on release. Later, as Square Enix released more sequels in the same universe, it became more obvious that the company had simply lost its mind and nothing more.
